The Innovation Lab is an organization that studies basic and applied technologies for cosmetics materials, formulations, evaluation methods, and containers. Additionally, the lab is in charge of the entire range of research on cosmetics by exploring new concepts in basic and applied technologies to enrich the concept of products. ISLCE™, liquid cosmetics developed by the Innovation Lab and IRPT™, UV protection cosmetics and evaluation methods, were  selected as next-generation, world leading products by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in 2014 and 2017, respectively. In addition, the lab has a variety of research outcomes including Cerapresso™, a ceramide-based skin absorption promotion system that was selected as a new health technology, Porousphere, a material used for huge porous powders, and holographic containers.
